In 2012, Selbi Söwda Economic Society began construction of a fish farm in the Ak Bugday district of Akhal province. Also, in the same year, the Company began to construct a fish restaurant in the Ruhabat district of Ashgabat.
On November 1, 2014, the company held the opening ceremony of the new restaurant, Balyk Tagamlary. The restaurant is located at the 3rd kilometre of the Ashgabat-Geoktepe highway. It was built in a unique architectural style, combining elements of contemporary design with those of traditional national decor. The new restaurant is fully equipped with modern and hygienic catering facilities
The facility consists of two buildings with modern interiors. I.e. a banquet hall designed to accommodate 800 people and a restaurant with 700 seats. The restaurant offers comfortable conditions designed to appeal to a wide cross-section of guests. Every visitor can enjoy sophisticated meals prepared at our restaurant which specializes in fish dishes. The fish is delivered fresh from local fish farms.
Immediately next to our restaurant is a large pool with six sections. In these we keep several species of large fish, including grass carp and carp. The grounds of our restaurant, which are planted with trees and shrubs, host pergolas and gazebos, benches, lamps, flower beds, tennis court and a parking for 400 cars.
At the same time as constructing our Restaurant, the Company started operating a fish production plant. The Fish Farm has artificial fish ponds and specializes in breeding silver carp, bighead carp, grass carp, carp and catfish. It will produce 30 tons of fish a year. The farm has a laboratory intended for the cultivation and breeding of sturgeon. This laboratory is equipped with the latest technology including indoor pools in which specified temperatures are strictly controlled.
Our Balyk Tagamlary restaurant, has already gained many customers. The enterprise will bring diversity and choice to the dining experience in Turkmenistan, and help satisfy the demand for high quality fish products.
As mentioned above, all fish supplied to our restaurant is bred in fish farms with closed and clean ponds which meet all sanitary standards.
Fish is supplied to the restaurant alive and kept fresh in the pools located in the adjacent territory. If you wish, you can choose your own fish, which our chef will cook especially for you.
The Restaurant’s menu offers more than 20 species of fish, a variety of cuisines, and a wide range of drinks.
We are very easy to find; less than 20 minutes by car from the city center.
We can organize weddings, birthdays, corporate parties other events for up to 800 guests in our modern, fully equipped banquet hall.
Selbi Söwda Economic society has been operating successfully in the retail and wholesale trade, as well as in the production sector, since 2007. The Company is a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. In 2014, the Company successfully entered the restaurant business when it opened its Balyk Tagamlary Fish Restaurant in the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat.
